Photo Tips
If you have any questions about your photos, don't hesitate to ask for help. But here's a few helpful tips to get you started.
Cutout Photos (background removal):
- Photo needs to show their entire body (nothing cropped out like top or head or bottom of feet
- High-resolution photos are easier to work with and will print more smoothly. (You may need to split them into more than one E-mail to make sure the E-mail isn't too large to go through. You can also upload them online to Picasa or Walgreens.com and send me the link.) Please, no cell phone photos; the quality is too grainy/dark.
- Sitting or standing poses will work. For designs with their names on top, it usually looks best to replace vowels, unless they’re posing like a certain letter (T, Y, L, etc.)
- I can edit photos to an extent (brighten, sharpen, etc.) but it’s best to start out with a quality photo.
- I’m here to help, if you have any questions about choosing photos. You're welcome to send extra photos, too, if you're not sure which will work best.

A few things to avoid (to ensure a quality output):
- Feet covered by grass
- Heavy shadowing on the face
- Too much motion blur
